Company History
Mid America Testing Laboratory opened its doors in 1982 on the historic Nike Airforce Base. The sixteen acre property has since been converted into an AAMA certified facility. Rick Heitmann assumed the role as president and sole stock owner in 1991. Rick has been in the industry for over twenty-five years serving as owner and consultant, and as a guest speaker at numerous Universities and Professional Conferences.
Mid America Testing Laboratory has a field office located in Seoul, Korea that offers on-site testing to Korea and other Eastern countries. All equipment located at the Seoul facility is regularly calibrated to strict AAMA and ASTM requirements. The Seoul facility is run by engineer, Mr. Ui-chang Jun, who spent two years under the guidance of Rick Heitmann at the original Missouri location.
Rick Heitmann has built his company's reputation on providing his clients with personal attention, technical expertise and many years of experience. He is personally involved in every project and has attended every formal test conducted by MATL since the business' conception.
To guarantee this professional service, Mid America Testing Laboratory will only schedule one formal testing project per day. The current office facility was re-designed and erected in 1997. The facilities boast a formal conference room as well as a working conference room in the privacy of the lower level for client use. The client-minded lower level also provides two additional private offices as well as a small lounge and shower facility. Internet access and a complete technical library are also available for clients' use.
